Barry Cohen once claimed, in a moment of unbridled candor, that he had exhausted his “fifteen minutes of fame” and wanted more. Barry is co-founder of an ad agency and audio-video firm that now specializes in the technology of advertising. He is the author of “Ten ways to screw up an ad campaign, a nuts and bolts guide for small businesses.” A Business Week Magazine book reviewer stated, “Barry Cohen’s combination of experience, imagination, and just plain good sense offers a welcome reminder that, yes, the right ad can do the right job.”
Barry’s initiation into advertising began when he sold ads for New Jersey and New York radio stations. Later he managed WKCW-AM radio station in Virginia before he served as an account executive for radio stations WPAT AM/FM and WOR AM in New York.
Barry’s business has grown from a part time production company into a full-blown electronic media firm within a few short years. During that time, Barry won numerous radio awards, including three silver microphone awards. Barry also holds positions on several non-profit organizations and generously donates his time and expertise of more than twenty-five years in advertising.
In his less famous moments, Barry tinkers with technology toys and is a fearless romantic. Look for him on a beach or listening to music while sitting before a fireplace.
